Because videos are so motivating...I love putting them up. Here's a video of my friend, Josh Everett, during the increasing Deadlift competition at the 2009 CrossFit Games.
The event required the athletes to do one lift every 20 seconds. If they succeeded at the respective weight, they moved up 5lbs. Gnarly.
We go to the Deadlift, A LOT, because it's such an integral movement in developing pure, absolute strength. It elicits an amazing amount of work output, in a very short amount of time. For this reason, we see great fitness gains from doing it often. Very often.

Ethos Family,
Thank you so much for all of your well wishes as we welcomed the newest edition to our family. Halle James Greer was born at 11:33am on Monday, clocking in at 8 lbs, 4oz, 20 inches...she already has demonstrated good skill at doing burpees...her form is off a bit though..looking forward to getting back to the box...so weird not coming in the past few days. I know Nick misses me.

@Josh, congrats on the pukie!
Cool videos...I love deadlifts, wallballs...not so much :-)

385lbs was all she wrote

PR 435
love the incentive of free t-shirts!!
Firehouse WOD - Randy 7:56. Mediocre performance. It's so much harder to get ramped up to max intensity at work. I don't know why, motivation comes from within. And I know that 3.0 mi. in 29:52 from my last post is a crappy time, it's achievement was that I can run for 29:52 straight. After I re-read it I had to laugh. Hope all is well, give thanks for your life today.
PR135# and thanx for the shirt!
Great numbers crew! Congrats on the PRs!
Josh, congrats on your little girl. I'm sure already has you wrapped around her finger!
Jimi & Mads

Congrats Josh! Alberto and I are so happy for you guys!
Greer, congrats to you and the wif on your little one! I figured there had to be something fairly important going on to keep you out of the box this morning.
I would feel good about my PR at 335# but Ryan P. and Aaron made 385+ look easy, so I've got to rise to the challenge. It's great being back in the box!

Great job tonight everyone. There were so many PR's I couldn't keep track. Respect to everyone who showed up today after yesterday's brutal grinder.
Keep up the effort.
