This was a trying WOD week. Thanks for your dedication to the programming, and for showing up. Your performances have been phenomenal considering the demands we've put on your bodies. Impressive, Ethos.

Hi everyone!

We took off on our summer adventure on Tuesday. We tried to make it in for one last WoD before we left but just couldn't  make it happen.

Shayna and I started back working out today here in Scottsdale. Shayna did “Randy” at the resort’s fitness center using dumbbells and I started my strength cycle (thanks Nick!) at a Gold’s Gym. If anyone is interested in seeing the program Nick laid out, I am tracking it here in a google spreadsheet:

We are going to check out www.crossfitscottsdale.com later this week. We’ll see what it is like to WoD when it is 107 degrees out this weekend.

Hope all is well at Ethos, we miss you guys!

Thanks for the link Drew, a couple people I know who also Crossfit have been asking about what to do for a strength cycle and that's a good resource.

15:42 Running backwards made me dizzy. It's weird how different muscles are used going in the opposite direction.

I can add blisters/tears on my arches to my CF battle wounds thanks to running backwards in orthodics in my shoes.  Good times.

11:56. That one will take some getting used to before it gets faster.

Shayna and Drew, we miss you

I was watching this video the night before on a Running Backwards technique http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayrauftFJ8E but for some reason it was easier seen then done. I dont remember my legs even getting that high running backwards...lol
