Our Deepest Thanks
May 31, 2010

There are many to thank on a day like Memorial Day. While most people are celebrating the unofficial start to summer, we fondly remember those who graciously gave the ultimate sacrifice. We undoubtedly thank those who were willing, but who made it safely home. We're proud to thank our home-team CrossFitters:

Great Post. I now have been serving for 13 years and have met soldiers which have lost their lives defending our great nation. Please keep them in your memories and enjoy our Memorial Day weekend. Its also a pleasure to train along side with our Marines in the box at CFE!!! Happy Memorial Day to all.

Phil and I started this Memorial week with "Nate", 11 rounds. Unbelievably, I am the fourth generation of McIntyres to serve in the military, though none of us fell in combat. Here is an ode to those who have: In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row,    That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly    Scarce heard amid the guns below.    We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,    Loved, and were loved, and now we lie          In Flanders fields.    Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw    The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die    We shall not sleep, though poppies grow          In Flanders fields.
