Keep Increasing
May 24, 2010

Two days of learning, sweating and laughing! This weekend's Level 1 Certification was a huge success. Thank you to the HQ Training staff for putting on a wonderful event. Also, thank you to all who were a part of the Ethos crew that came out and represented your box at the "stink & drink" Saturday night. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a Level 1 Certification, it is one of the most rewarding weekends you can experience. Even if you have no desire to ever become a trainer, the Cert will help you become a better CrossFit athlete as a whole. "Always better yourself and never settle for mediocrity. Strive for perfection in life and in fitness."

Announcement:

Many of you have left items such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, towels, etc. at the box after workouts.  We have accumulated a large amount of gear in our bottom two cubbies. Make sure you check this week to see if any of it is yours. Grab it by Friday or we will be donating it to goodwill.

Push Press 1-1-1-1-1

Shoulder Press: 145; Push Press: 185; Push Jerk: 205

Disappointed that I didn't get more up on the Push Jerk. I need to get more comfortable dropping under the weight.

Couldn't decide if i wanted to do a split jerk or push jerk, so created new movement somewhere in between. It was ugly. I need work.

175-195-135.

Tried 205 3x on Push Jerk and couldn't get the right form and technique. Dropped to 135 to get the fundamentals down.
