CF Ethos...

This weekend CF Ethos hosted the Southwest Master's Regional Competition and our Affiliate Team competed among 70+ tri-state affiliates UC Irvine. We are extremely proud of our athletes who represented in amazing fashion! Being around the training sessions, you know the Ethos athletes trained very hard and sacrificed to compete at this high level event. Thank you to everyone who participated in the mutli-WOD training sessions to help prepare the team, and who made it to the event site to cheer live. Last but no least, many thanks to the supporters who watched online and screamed at your screen "GO!" to encorage the Ethos affiliate team from afar!  Be sure to check out the archived videos at live.crossfit.com to review all the amazing action from the weekend.

I think the Ethos crew has staked a claim to polka dots and lime...we mean "Ethos" green.

WOD

Five rounds for time of:

15 Hang squat cleans (135/85#)
30 Push-ups

Wow! This weekend was great motivation!  The team as a whole did amazing! Great job!
Erica.. I don't know why you were PRETENDING you couldn't do ring dips.. you hammered those out!

6am WOD was rough.. but I survived.  70lb hang clean ( that is my PR so far) and knee push-ups (working on mastering regular without dying)
It always feels good when you finish and everyday is like a new accomplishment of pushing yourself to your limit.

Thank you to all of those who captured the great action at this weekends events!

Great job this weekend! Although I couldn't be there in person, I watched our team compete online. You guys are all amazing and truly motivating. Today's workout- 70 lb hang squat cleans and RX push ups= 30:48 felt good to complete all the push ups as RX in the workout.

Man, what a weekend.  I have so many moments and images burned into my memory...

- Erica pumping out those ring dips and gaining confidence with each rep
- The look on Vanessa's face as she came back from the thrusters asking "Is there any more running?"  before banging out the ring dips
- Watching Emily run like a thoroughbred down the back stretch of the track and everyone going, "Oooooo..."
- Watching Brian and Erica open up that monster lead down the back stretch of lap #2
- Black Jon cranking out THAT ONE set of double unders
- That delicious burrito
- How heavy that damn tire was
- Knowing just how close I was to dropping that log
- How in awe I was watching Erica and Emily flip that tire when Black Jon and I were gassed
- How grateful I felt seeing all our supporters and reading all the well wishes online on FB and our blog.

Thanks again, everyone.
