New Shirts
April 8, 2010

The first versions of our CrossFit Ethos shirts will be finishing print today/tomorrow. They will be available NLT (No Later Than) Friday for purchase/pick-up. They will be $30 each.

The pictures attached are "mock-ups" of the designs. The final products will be very similar. Both shirts are printed on high quality blanks made from a poly/cotton/rayon blend to ensure great fit and breathability during workouts. And to add to their comfort, they'll be tagless.

To give you some specifics about the designs:

  • The Men's version will have the Ethos logo off the shoulder cap.  We've added some texture to the print to keep it soft and make it looked weathered from age. "Elite Human Performance" will wrap the opposite waist line.
  • The Women's version will have "Strong, Beautiful, Me" printed on the front in three different colors, textures, and consistencies. "Strong" will be printed in a plain gray.  "Beautiful" will be printed in a metallic ink.  "Me" will be printed in foil to give a super sexy shine.  On the back, the Ethos logo will be printed with beautiful metallics.

Both competitors and spectators are required to wear these shirts to the NLP Invitational on Saturday.  You're encouraged to wear them to the Orange County Affiliate Gathering at Anaerobic, Inc. on Sunday.  Rock them with pride.

Hey guys. Good to see some t-shirts. How do I get one so I can rock it here in Hoboken? I have been following the workouts when I can. Did the Thrusters for load yesterday...185# for max. The new place looks awesome. I can't wait to visit.

WOO HOO ... shirts!

So what's the total headcount for NLP competitors and spectators?  We should have a great showing and I think the WODs are right up our alley, although I haven't done much backwards sprinting.  I'll be in Friday morning to practice some of that and try the sandbags if we've got any.

Sam,

Ironcially, I ran a 5k last week and did the first half forwards and the second half backwards.  Some people poked fun but look at how it comes full circle.

What I can tell you about running backward...

The musclular emphasis on the stride seemed to come primarily from my quad.  Calves also are in constant tension since it was not form-friendly to let your heel come in contact with the ground.

Working out a hamstring strain.  Did 8x 400m sprints, 2x 200m sprints, and was going into my first of 2x 100m sprints when my right hammy knotted on me...great!  Lots of ice and stick work...starting to loosen slowly.

Anyone have tips on loosening a hamstring?

Sam,

I did a half Griff one day and my calves killed me for days.  Get into a rhythm and try not to look back too much.  It should be easier to avoid that as I imagine there will be no speed bumps to be on the look out for.  Roll your calves out afterwards.

"Griff"

For time:
Run 800 meters
Run 400 meters backwards
Run 800 meters
Run 400 meters backwards
